Doctor Who s06e05 Season 6 Episode 5

Sheer brilliance! Pure awesomeness! Pardon me Kung Fu Panda for stealing your tagline, but it is the best I could think to describe the last week’s episode of Doctor Who. Kudos to Neil Gaiman for writing such brilliant episode, and to the casts for excellent acting to match the brilliant plot.

The last week’s episode “The Doctor’s Wife” was crazy, funny, and romantic and yet makes sense. I was truly a love story–a story about the love of a Doctor for his TARDIS and of a TARDIS for her Doctor. Then we get to meet the soul of the TARDIS in human form, and she is adorable. Honestly, I am sucker of romantic movies and the episode really got me. I really, really love the dialog between The Doctor and Idris where she said that she always took him where he NEEDED to go. She is truly the Doctor’s soul mate, and will always be there for him. The ending is both heart breaking and triumphant.

Do you think the upcoming Doctor Who Season 6 Episode 5: The Rebel Flesh episode could live up to the sheer brilliance of the episode 4? Let me give you a little run-through of the upcoming “The Rebel Flesh” episode.

The Doctor Who s06e05 Season 6 Episode 5: The Rebel Flesh is the first part of the two-part episode written by Matthew Graham and directed by Julian Simpson. On this episode The Doctor will have to deal with human doppelgangers when a solar tsunami thrown the TARDIS towards the futuristic factory on Earth. These human doppelgangers are used to mine dangerous acid.

FYI, doppelgänger is a tangible double of a living person in fiction, folklore, and popular culture that typically represents evil. In layman’s term, doppelganger has come to refer to any double or look-alike of a person.

Doctor Who Season 6 Episode 5 Synopsis:

A solar tsunami hits the TARDIS and hurls it into Earth’s future at a factory where human doppelgangers, “Gangers,” are used as manual laborers. A solar tsunami frees the Gangers, and the original people they are based on must decide whether to accept their counterparts or eliminate them.

Can the good Doctor convince the terrified humans to accept these “almost people” and prevent an all-out civil war before the factory explodes? Let’s find out by taking a time-out in your busy Saturday Night and watch Doctor Who Season 6 Episode 5. This episode is scheduled to air its premiere broadcast on May 21, 2011 on BBC One in the United Kingdom, BBC America in the United States and the Space Channel in Canada.
