OMG!! This girl gets rapped at school by two colleagues. A 15-year-old female student at Clifton High School in New Jersey claims she was gang raped while in the school building. The two young men claim innocence. However, the police have stated that they have strong evidence in this criminal incident. It is tragic that such a terrible crime allegedly occurred in a school building.

The alleged gang rape occurred when the two young men physically moved the female student to an area below a staircase. The attack took place during the school day. The girl was not acquainted with the two males before the incident. Sergeant Bracken of the Clifton police said "We had sufficient cause to pursue charges against them," reports CBS News.

Many schools now have security cameras in the building. Perhaps the attack was captured on security film. Too many high schools are so chaotic that it is possible for an attack to occur without anyone noticing the incident. Many schools have limited security employees, who are kept quite busy handling disturbances.

One of the alleged attackers, Jaime Urbina, is age 19. He is now being held on $150,000 bail. The other male is age 17. Both of the male students are in grade 12 at Clifton High School. They were charged with aggravated sexual assault, aggravated sexual contact, and criminal restraint.

This high school has 3,400 students, notes NJ.com. It seems there is not enough security in the high school building to keep the students safe at school. Many schools in New Jersey had to make staff cuts due to draconian education budget cuts made by the governor. Thus safety at schools is likely now compromised. This horrible alleged gang rape could be just one sign that the security in public high schools in New Jersey is far from adequate.

Since students have a reasonable expectation of being safe in a public school building, there will probably now be a large lawsuit against Clifton schools for an unsafe school environment. It is sad that a 15-year-old girl was allegedly gang raped at her school. Today's world makes kids grow up too fast.
